John Rudasill is an accomplished standup comedian whose brand of humor is acceptable in all environments and for all age groups. From his stories about growing up and going to school to his tales about his good friend “Slab” Hudson and the rest of the Hudson clan, any story that John tells can be told to your mother, grandmother, children or minister without fear of it being inappropriate or embarrassing. If you want good clean humor, then John is your man. That is why he is known as, “The Good Humor Guy”. While in college, John began working with the entertainer, Joe Franklin (Mr. Franklin had appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and American Bandstand). Using the stage name "Mason Fruitjar", John performed for numerous public, private, and civic organizations. He has performed at various entertainment establishments throughout the Southeast such as; The Crossroads Music Park, The Bay Barn, The Mount Mitchell Music Park, Tweetsie Railroad, Carowinds and The Don Gibson Theater, just to mention a few and has appeared on the same shows with entertainers such as; The Osborne Brothers, The Lewis Family, George Morgan, The Wilburn Brothers, Jim & Jenny Vance, Carl Story, The Willis Brothers, Peggy Sue & Sonny, Charlie Louvin, Archie Campbell and Johnny Paycheck. John has also opened for political humorist, Mark Russell, for comedian, Henry Cho, of "Designing Women" fame and for James Gregory, "The Funniest Man In America.” John and his writing partner, Greg Tillman, wrote and recorded the song, “Knobby’s Back”, a tribute to the Casar bigfoot, which was featured on the John Boy and Billy Big Show. He has also written a song in memory of his father, “Things My Daddy Taught Me”, which was featured on the John Hancock show on WBT. John is an author and recently published a book, “Papaw Stories”, a collection of humorous short stories about his grandfather. John currently performs primarily as an after dinner speaker or emcee for church, community or private functions. ~~~~~
